An invite to a meeting that has been planned by someone holding a meeting license is referred to as a Participant. You can run public or private Zoom Events (free or paid) with dedicated event hubs, robust registration and ticketing, and attendee networking. Zoom Events is designed to complement Zoom Meetings and Webinars. If you want attendees to be able to easily join your event, publish it in a public or private directory.
You can seamlessly create and manage virtual events of any size with Zoom Events, a virtual event solution built on Zoom's video technology. You can create, market, and report on virtual events using Zoom technology you're already familiar with.
A Zoom Webinar is ideal for one-to-many presentations that take place over a single session. Zoom Events enhances the ability to connect multiple webinar sessions and can even be combined with Zoom Meetings to create longer more interactive virtual experiences. The Zoom Events platform includes features such as the ability to create branded event hubs, register and sell tickets, and generate enhanced reporting for all events. In order to grow successful consumer experience businesses, Zoom license holders need OnZoom on hand. A public directory, specialized events, and ticket sales can be generated through OnZoom, a platform that promotes awareness about events. While we continue to upgrade and add features to OnZoom, it remains in beta. Our virtual event platform, Zoom Events, allows us to host both single and multi-session events. The Zoom Events platform expands the functionality of Zoom Meetings and Webinars by adding dedicated event hubs, support for multiple sessions, customization of registration and ticketing options, and attendee networking across free and paid events. Attendees can share experiences created on Zoom Events widely, but they won't be able to post their experiences to OnZoom. Hosts who wish to schedule one-time or series events on Zoom must have a meeting license or webinar license. You will need to purchase the Zoom Events license in order to use Zoom Events.
In addition to providing access to online webinar scheduling and all webinar features, Zoom Events licenses also include Zoom Video Webinar. If you use the same license, you will not be able to simultaneously host a Zoom Video Webinar and a Zoom Event.
Similar to Zoom Webinars, Zoom Events can accommodate up to 50,000 attendees (including hosts, co-hosts, and panellists). If you are planning an event for more than 10,000 people, please contact sales for a quote based on your needs.
Events can be created privately or publicly with Zoom Events. Public and private events can both be added to event hubs. Zoom Events' platform makes it easy to control these settings when creating and managing hubs and events.
The Host has full control over setting up events, controlling settings, and managing the experience. In addition to the Host, an alternative host can start the sessions (must be a licensed account user). Co-hosts have many of the same administrative controls as the host, except that they are not allowed to start sessions. Panellists assist with the running of your event (moderators, interpreters, etc.). In addition to using audio, video, and screen sharing, they can also participate in the event through screen sharing. They can also modify the groups they are a part of. Depending on your Zoom Meeting license plan, you can have a maximum of five panellists per session. Presenters at your event are known as Speakers. With a Speaker Ticket, they can attend all sessions. Also, speakers can edit their bios and session details for the sessions they belong to. Attendees of your event are the people who attend it. Attendees can interact with each other and the host depending on whether the meeting is set up as a meeting or a webinar. Attendees who participate in webinar sessions can be promoted to panellists by the host or co-host. Attendees and Panelists can join your sessions without having to download or purchase Zoom; they just need to be logged in. Hub owners can create and delete hubs and set up billing information. Besides adding other hub hosts, Hub managers can also add events. An event can be added to the hub by the Hub host.
There is a limit to how many people can attend Zoom Events depending on the plan you purchased. All participants who join the live session, including the host, co-hosts, panelists, and guests, are considered part of the capacity

Panellists can be designated as interpreters during Zoom sessions using Zoom's language interpretation feature. As soon as the event session starts, the host can enable the interpretation feature, which allows interpreters to access their audio channels. Each attendee can choose the language he or she prefers, and they can listen to the original or translated audio at their preferred volume. Interpretation sessions recorded in the cloud only record the original audio, not translations. Any audio that the person recording the interpretation session can hear will be recorded locally, but multiple audio channels will not be recorded.
